So me and Sprint have had a long and storied history… Well, not really storied, basically they wanted me to pay more then I wanted to pay for my plan. I just can’t justify constantly paying double whatever my plan is. Especially when I’m not going over my minutes or anything like that.

So I decided to tell em to fuck off and join the list of people who want money from me. I also decided that I was going to get a phone that I wanted. Sprint’s phone just really weren’t that great. So I looked around and Verizon had a pretty nice one, not to mention Sarah has Verizon and thus calling her would be free with the free IN calling.

So now I have a new phone, yay for me. I feel so much better about myself now. Nothing can stop me in life, not with my new phone.

A recent turn of events

What a fine time to start a new blog. My coworker, and number 6 friend on myspace, turned me on to this blogsite. Pretty nice. I like the layout and the customization. Not too shabby.
So my life is in a bit of turmoil, and her name is Sarah. Now this isn’t such a bad thing. Sure there are plenty of tough things I need to do and my life stands the chance of never being the same again. But I’ve been in a rut as of late.

Well lets start from the begining.

Back in a July I got an IM from a girl. Wasn’t sure who she was so I checked her profile to make sure she wasn’t a bot. She kind of looked like a girl that lived in my dorm when I went to SIU. So I started talking to her and she was damn cool. Turns out that she just so happened to be the little sister of a friend of a friend that I met down while I was in SIU. We didn’t hang out all that much but we kind of got to know each other. Turns out she found me on Yahoo! Messenger and it just kinda snowballed from there.

At this point my plans hadn’t changed much. Just keep workin and telling myself that I was gonna start payin off my debts and get back in school… Eventually.

Well a month passes and we continue to talk online and on the phone constantly. I discover she is simply amazing, a truely wonderful person. She, for some reason, thinks the same about me (she might be a little slow ). Well I finally get a car and the first thing I do? Go see her.

We spent a wonderful weekend together. Have you ever hit it off with someone almost instantly? I mean, sure we’d been talking pretty much every day, but it felt like I had known her for so much longer then that. That first night we slept together in the hotel, well not really slept. We ended up deciding we were going to sleep but instead just stayed up talking while wrapped up in each others arms. Never had I felt a connection like that before. I asked her, in so many words, to be my girlfriend and she said yes, after finally figuring out what I was getting at. (I’m a big fan of beating around the bush)

At that point the plan had changed. Time to get my act together. I decided to go back to SIU, since they had a metal smithing program I wanted to take and it would put me so much closer to her, in the spring semester.

After that weekend we continued to talk on the internet and phone. I had even set up a forum so I could talk to her while at work, which we still use. I’ve never been able to talk to someone for so long. I usually run out of things to say, but some how we didn’t.

I applied to SIU and after not hearing from them for a week or two I called to check the status. They informed that I would need to have at least a “C” average before they would even look at my application. Me and SIU didn’t leave on the best of terms. They had wanted me to attend classes and I have this thing that if you’re not going to teach me, I’m probably not gonna show up. Needless to say I only walked away from there with a few credits.

So I called ICC, a local community college that I had attended for a year after SIU, and signed up for classes about 2 days before they started. Affina did rather well on re-arranging my schedule to accomidate that. I went there for about a month until they told me that I wasn’t gonna get my financial aid unless I managed to do all this shit that I was already not gonna be able to do. So I stopped going.

In the meantime I started looking at community colleges down in the southern Illinois area and found one that had classes I actually wanted to take. And if I went there I wouldn’t be fighting an uphill battle with my GPA like I was at ICC, I’d start out fresh. So fuck ICC.

Around this time I found the money to fund another trip!!! So I ended up going down there, earlier then expected, and suprised Sarah while she was at work. She didn’t expect me at all. And then and there, as I saw the look in her eyes when I walked through the door at her work, that I loved her. I didn’t confess this right away, but to my vast satisfaction, the feeling turned out to be mutual.

It was another wonderful weekend, some how she had become even more amazing then she was, I don’t quite know how anyone could get more amazing, but she did (and continues to do so). I didn’t realize it at the time I told her I loved her, probably because for about 30 minutes I couldn’t say anything for fear of betraying myself and just blurting it out (I wasn’t quite sure if she would say it back, not what seemed to be that soon anyways), that she was falling asleep.

I remember I looked down in to her eyes and it just kind of came out. She smiled and then said, “Wait… What?”. Fuck. I told her that I loved her again and she said it back. I asked her why the original reaction and she told me that she was only half awake and wasn’t sure if I had actually said that or if she had dreamt it and she didn’t want to say “I love you back” when I had something completely different. Then it came time for me to leave. Very sad. I really didn’t want to come back to Peoria. But I did.

At this time the plan had become such. Start working full time at Affina again, get a second job at some place that would be down there and up here so I could transfer, and save save save, then move down there ASAP.

I continued working my school schedule at affina until about labor day. I really wanted to visit Sarah but really didn’t have the money for a hotel room and all that. Well Sarah ended up funding that and I stayed at her house. Her mom seemed to like me but she kind of flip flops on that whether she likes me or not. All in all, a wonderful week. The good byes were even harder this time.
I started workin at Affina full time again and ended up getting a second job at Domino’s. Meanwhile I’ve been trying to get a job at Best Buy. I’ve submitted 7 applications, had 3 interviews, and after finally getting hired they haven’t gotten back to me with when I start.

Nothing to eventful happened. Affina really wasn’t that willing to work up a new schedule so they could get the most out of me and so I could get the most out of both jobs. Fairly frustrating. Then I found out I had a saturday night off and Sarah really wanted to see me, as I really wanted to see her too, and I decided that I would come down saturday night after work and stay until sunday afternoon.

A short time, but a great time none the less.

Affina decided to start working with me so I could get as many hours at Domino’s and Affina as possible, which was nice. Except for the fact that the night before, the sunday I got back, while delivering pizza I ended up bottoming out on a piece of shit road and fucked my car up royally. Effectively ending my time as a pizza delivery boy. Oh irony, fuck you.

When I bottomed out, the worst part being that I was only going about 25-30 miles an hour, regardless of how fast my relatives think I was going, I managed to break the passenger side front motor mount which shot up and broke something in the cooling system causing a leak and hit the serpentine belt and ripped it in half, part of which didn’t break totally free and started whipping the spark plug managing to cut through on of the shielding on one of em and exposing the wire itself.

But thats all for tonight. I’ll leave it with a little suspense to keep you kids on the edge of your seat. Plus its gettin late and I so desperitely need my beauty sleep.
